colourless oil flammable liquid, with a strong smell. The melting point is -6.3 C, the boiling point is 184, 68.3 C (1.33kPa), the relative density is 1.0217 (20/4 C), the refractive index is 1.5863, the flash point (opening cup) is 70, and the spontaneous combustion point is 770. The exposure to air or light will gradually become brown. It can evaporate with water vapor. Aniline can be mixed with ethanol, ether, chloroform and many other organic solvents. The solubility of aniline in water (the percentage of weight) is 3.7% at 30, 4.2% at 50 and 8% at 110. It is alkaline, can produce hydrochloride with hydrochloric acid, and sulphate is produced with sulphuric acid. |
Use |
Aniline is an important intermediate. 300 more important products are produced by aniline. There are about more than 80 aniline manufacturers in the world. The total annual production capacity has exc |
